Planet Weather for the Week of June 28,
2009
NewsBits: Sudden Separations of Uranus! Planetary Stations produce greater astral electricity in the air or change in the paramagnetic energies that affect us all. At these times, there are more activity and eventful happenings on planet Earth. With the approach of the Uranus station, exact on 7/1/09 (see below), we’ve witnessed the bloody protests in Iran and the world’s outrage at the inhumane and violent treatment of Iranian citizens. Here in the US, we’ve lost three celebrities, Ed McMahon, most famous as Johnny Carson’s sidekick for many years, Farrah Fawcett, actress and sex symbol and Michael Jackson, dubbed, “the King of Pop.”
Jackson was born the seventh of nine children on 8/29/58 in Gary, Indiana, 10AM (time is unverified). He was born shortly after a Full Moon with the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces in House 12. The recent Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in Aquarius @ 26deg. was opposite Jackson’s Mercury Rx @ 25 Leo and was the most obvious trigger for his death. According to the 10AM time we have, Pluto/Capricorn was hovering on his Midheaven (top of chart) @ 0 Capricorn and squaring is Ascendant @ 0 Aries – indicating major transitions and the title of his tour - “This is it,” prophetic of a major transitions (such as death) and descriptive of the fact that he was about 250 million in debt and needed to raise money. The tour was a highly ambitious 50-concert venue beginning in London. Cardiac arrest likely caused by prescription drugs is the prevailing consensus for cause of death. The multi-award winning and talented singer/dancer’s life was fraught with various scandals and difficulties, leaving his estate ravaged in debt. The controversy surrounding him and his personal eccentricities is shown in a tight Venus/Uranus conjunction in Leo, the same energy that also expresses his great talent and popularity. His Moon in Pisces in the isolated and tender 12th house is square Saturn/Sagittarius indicating the difficult, and as he described, lonely childhood he experienced, with a tyrannical father and incessant pressure to perfection and performance.
SkyWatch: Moon phase of the week: 6/29
-- The Moon enters Her First Quarter phase at 7:28 AM EDT, at 7 degrees of
Libra. Skywatching event of the week: 7/4 -- This
July Fourth, the Moon passes near the bright astrological "Royal
Star" Antares, named because of its russet color
and, hence, resemblance to the planet Mars (Ares). Their point of closest
approach comes about 6 AM EDT, just after sunrise (and moonset) on the East
Coast. But this event should be visible farther west, especially as seen from
the West Coast and points west of there. In fact, as viewed from Hawaii, the
other Polynesian islands, and Japan, this will actually be an occultation. That
is, the Moon will pass in front of Antares, eclipsing
or "occulting" the star anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour,
depending on location. Space news of the week: Scientists at the University of
Michigan say they have found direct evidence for lightning on Mars caused by a
large dust storm. (Hey, it was a slow Space news week....) Go out!
Look up!
Knowing when VOC Moons occur
is key to planning your successful week!
The Void-of-course (VOC) Moon is
a kind of limbo. As it reaches the end of a sign, the Moon makes no major
aspect to another planet before it enters the next sign. VOC is best for less
outcome-oriented activity, since VOC often means detours, distractions, drifting,
or delays. If you want specific outcomes, or if timeliness is critical, don’t
use a VOC Moon time. VOC is best for processing, imagining, creating, and
open-ended activities, like parties, research, or cleaning your desk/closet for
instance! It is said that when a new action is initiated during VOC, “nothing
will come of it,” or energies go in unplanned directions, which may not
necessarily be negative.

Week of 6/28/09 – Tuesday, Wednesday and
Friday are the most active energetically and potentially very productive days –
more Moon or planetary aspects for engagement with others or projects, and/or
producing results. On 6/28/09, the Moon is VOC/Virgo from 11:26AM to 5:24PM EDT – On 6/30/09, the
Moon is VOC/Libra from 5:59PM to 12:19AM EDT(next day!) – On 7/3/09, the Moon
is VOC/Scorpio from 6:03AM to 10:11AM EDT.
Planet Patterns & Cosmic Headlines
for the week:
Uranus in mutable, water sign Pisces
turns Stationary Retrograde @ 26 deg. on 7/1/09 until 12/1/09. When one of the outer three planets, -- Uranus,
Neptune, or Pluto – makes a stopping point (called a
station), in its apparent motion along the Zodiac, it is always a significant
event and always shows up in the news in a big way. The Uranus station has
already manifested in the rebellion against the rigid, corrupt, and archaic
regime of Iran. Uranus is the raw truth, and outrage takes place when lies are
apparent, as they were in the recent elections in Iran. Uranus often acts
abruptly, suddenly shocking us into some sort of awareness or another. Or, in the case of death, transitioning to another level of
consciousness entirely. Uranus remains retrograde for the next five
months, retracing its path since 3/2/09. Mars/Gemini will ignite its rebellious
energy between 8/18 - 8/21 and bring some sort of flare-up (possibly again in
Iran).
Mercury enters cardinal, water Cancer on
7/3/09 until 7/17/09. Mercury
moves into the subjective water sign Cancer, communication becomes more
nostalgic, and discussions center around whether
people are considerate, kind, and caring and whether life is comfortable or
uncomfortable. You may equally be preoccupied with family matters, family
members, and those whom you consider to be friends like family. This Mercury is
known for its good listening and empathic skills. These attributes are tested
as Mercury makes an opposition to Pluto Rx/Capricorn on 7/4/09. Be prepared for
conversations that turn toward serious and deep matters.
*Currently Active Paradigm-Shift Patterns:
*Jupiter in fixed air, Aquarius conjunct
(0deg.) Neptune/Aquarius @ 26 deg. on 5/27/09. This is the first of three conjunctions (meeting in
the same sign and at the same degree) between these two planets. It is rare to
have these two planets that meet by conjunction about every 12 years make this
aspect three separate times in their single cycle. The last triple occurrence of
this sort was in 1919-1920! The next time will be in 2047 –2048! So…don’t miss
the message and the spiritual infusion, confusion, synchronicity or coincidence.
It has something important to teach you. In the current cycle, the next two
times Jupiter and Neptune conjoin will be on 7/10/09 and 12/21/09.
* Part 2 of 5 – Saturn in mutable, earth Virgo opposite (180
deg. angle) Uranus in mutable, water Pisces took place on 2/5/09 @ 20 deg. – Preview: Part 3 of 5 is exact on 9/15/09 @
24degrees. The first four oppositions between these two
planets take place in the signs Virgo/Pisces, and the last one is in
Aries/Libra in July 2010. The first opposition took place on 11/4/08! It’s
important to understand where this is taking place in your chart, the
adjustments that are required of you and how you will reconstruct habits in a
specific area of your life. This is a pattern of adaptation and analysis of
what works and what does not. This
stress aspect breaks things into their component parts in order to rebuild them
on a more solid foundation. Ask your astrologer to further clarify this
important pattern and how it is working in your life.
